		<description>Well...Stranahan&#039;s Colorado Whiskey (SCW) is not actually made like a bourbon, although there are some shared aspects.  For example, both SCW and bourbon are matured in 100% American white oak barrels, with a #4 heavy char.  Differences would be that SCW is distilled in a one-of-a-kind pot-column still that combines the technologies of Scotch/certain Irish sprirt production (pot stills) and all other types of spirit production (column stills), including bourbon.  SCW also uses a unique maturation process--a temperature and humidity controlled environment--which dramatically influences the spirit&#039;s interaction with the wood.

I find SCW to be a flawless balance of spicy, sweet, complex, and smooth.  I think it&#039;s worth double what they charge, and would differ with the author that bourbon drinkers are likely to highly appreciate this delicious stuff.  Scotch drinkers, too, as far as that goes.  Give a shot folks--I&#039;m a serous whiskey enthusiast, and this is definitely my all-time fave.</description>
